About VersaTube
Product FAQs
What is the difference between the VersaTube® Building System and the carports
manufactured with steel tubing by other companies?
The primary difference is that VersaTube is a building system, not just a single carport. The
basic frame for most VersaTube structures is what you would use for a carport frame - peaks,
rafters, side posts, base rails, etc. However, it evolves into a building system as you add the
additional components to that base frame. Once you add height extensions, length extensions, roof
purlins & side girts, soffit or corner brackets, and end enclosure framing, you have a complete
garage or building frame. If you take the initial base carport frame and add height extensions and
a lean-to section to each side, you have a horse barn frame with a raised center aisle and wings for
stalls. Thus, what VersaTube has created is not any one particular structure - but a true building
system with endless possibilities.
