26-Gauge Sheet Metal
Primary framing uses 2” x 2” square and 2” x 3” rectangular steel tubing for structures engineered up to 30’ wide and 12’ high (sidewall). 2” x 4” steel tubing is used for carports engineered over 30’ up to 52’ wide and up to 16’ high (sidewall).
Install on ground, concrete slab or footings or piers, or any level surface per anchoring instructions. Must be installed with one end slightly raised to allow water runoff. Your choice of concrete or ground stake anchors.
Standard carport packages include frame system with self-drilling screws, 29-gauge sheet metal & trim package with screws, butyl caulk tape, vinyl trim, and your choice of anchors.
Classic Carports Truss Bracing
Interior truss bracing may be required by engineering depending on the carport dimensions and your local snow and wind load requirements. Typically, 10’, 12’, 14’ and some 18’ and 20’ models do not require truss bracing. Some 18’ and 20’ and all 24’ and wider units are sold with truss bracing. Truss braces are used on all interior truss frame sections and ARE NOT REQUIRED on the front and back end truss of carports.
