Investing In A RV Carport

by Matthew Sullivan on June 14, 2018

Your RV Investment Plan

An RV is a big investment and a bigger commitment - not only in terms of maintenance. We’re talking about that commitment to friends and family to hit the road together, see the sights together, and experience America together.

If you’re going to keep this commitment, you will need to take good care of your RV.

A VersaTube RV Cover is a necessity. You’ve gone so far as to invest in your new RV - Protect it, maintain it, and you’ll be rewarded with years and years of faithful service and good times!

Additional RV care tips:

Wash your RV regularly. You don’t wanna roll around looking like Cousin Eddy do you?

Give your RV a thorough wash, wax, and inspection before any prolonged storage. After you wash and wax, treat the plastic, vinyl, and rubber components with a protective product. This will prevent cracking and deterioration caused by UV rays. Neglect these parts and you could end up with leaks into your RV. Leaks lead to mold and odors. Mold and odors lead to crappy RV trips.
Storing your RV under a VersaTubesteel RV cover will greatly reduce sun exposure, component degradation, and moisture damage.

When parking your RV for a prolonged period of time, be sure to ventilate the rig as best and as often as you can. This will prevent any odors from developing. Speaking of preventing odors, be sure and turn off, empty, and open your fridge every chance you get! Don’t leave any food in your RV. Food will attract rodents… Remember that time you forgot to empty it? Maybe you’d rather not…

If you are going to be parking your rig for months at a time, remember to move your RV periodically. Your tires, your family, and your friends will thank you for it later. There’s nothing worse than discovering that your tire sidewalls have cracked minutes before your first big trip of the season.

Maintain your batteries with a battery tender, even during brief storage stints. Maintaining your batteries will help them to last longer. Help your batteries help you.

Pay attention to your RV. As with anything, the more meticulously you maintain it, the longer it will last. Commit to a thorough RV maintenance schedule and you’ll easily fulfill your commitment to friends and family eager to hit the road again.
