The PitMaster

by Stacy Fender on May 17, 2018

Smell that sweet, sweet smoke. It’s like perfume. Apple. Mesquite. Hickory. Heat - low, and slow. That’s the key, after all.  The traditional way. No cutting corners. No electric smokers. Just thinking it makes your skin crawl. No, for you, it’s hardwood only.

It’s an artform, and you are a master.

But you didn’t get here overnight. Oh, no. It’s been years of trial and error. Experimentation. Early mornings and late nights. Research, planning and learning from the best. (They don’t give up their secrets easily, you know.)

Through the years, it’s all come together. Rubs and marinades. Pork, brisket. Ham, hot links, chicken. You do it all. And now, you’re ready to serve it up with pride - not just to your family and friends, but to customers - paying ones. That’s right, you’re opening your own barbeque place. It’s time.

It’ll be family joint. Relaxing. Downhome fun. Good sides, too - all the fixins’. Corn on the cob, pit beans, slaw, you name it. It’s all sorted and ready, at least in your mind. But there’s one crucial piece you still need to take care of: The Pit.

You have your equipment all sorted. Some old favorites. Trusty. Reliable. And some new stuff, too. But it all needs a home - and you’ve finally found one, thanks to VersaTube steel buildings. A VersaTube shelter is perfect for your needs. You choose to design your own so you could get one to the exact specifications you want. Once it’s delivered in just a few weeks, it’ll install on the parking pad just outside the kitchen. (That convenience will be important if this place takes off.) And, it will be ready for your equipment in just a couple of days, so it’s not going to hold up your opening date.

Just be sure to invite us all to opening day. We love good BBQ.
