Folks are curious why our VersaTube Building Systems kits don’t come with doors.

Aside from the logistical challenges that would hinder our industry leading lead times and easy, economical shipping, the primary reason is to allow for our customers to put a personal touch on their new VersaTube steel building.

Once you’ve decided on the VersaTube Building System that best suits your needs, one of the more fun parts of the process is shopping for doors that will tie your project together and make your building unique.

Consider these questions and suggestions:

Do you care about aesthetics or are you mainly concerned with economy and function? Do you have elaborate, ornate doors on your house that you want to match?

If you’re purchasing a garage kit or another of our fully enclosed steel structures, do you want the simple convenience of an automatic roll up door? If so, would you like the door to have windows on one or more of the panels?

Do you have an appreciation for rustic, rural Americana themed structures? Maybe you’d like to go for barn style doors. You could opt for a large single door that slides off to one side, or you could go choose a double door design that opens from the center and swings out to either side.

Got more of a mid century modern taste? You could for that old school, manual push out and up style of garage door. Life is easy enough as it is - we don’t need everything automated!

Give careful consideration to your exterior walk through doors as well. Again, you might want to match the exterior walk through doors on your house. You may or may not want a window in the door.

Depending on the style of doors that you choose, you may or may not want to hire a local contractor to perform the installation. It all depends on your level of experience and your aptitude.

The most important thing is that you are thrilled with your completed VersaTube steel building. The right doors can be the artistic capstone of your project.
