The Modern Version of an Old-Fashioned Barn Raising
You, like us, have probably never experienced an old-fashioned barn raising, but the thought of a community descending on one farm to work together to raise a barn, and treating that as a major social occasion sounds pretty fun to us. We’re thinking a modern version of the event would be the perfect thing when it comes to assembling your new VersaTube building. So how to throw a modern barn-raising party? We have a few suggestions!
Coordinate
Before you send the invites, (or the emails), make sure all your ducks are in a neat little row. Start off by nailing down your timetable. Besides knowing what day you’ll receive delivery of your VersaTube building, what day will the foundation be ready? Have you reviewed the VersaTube care instructions and the universal assembly instructions? The care instructions will arrive a few days before your VersaTube pallets arrive, and your universal assembly instructions will be packaged with your building. Get everyone on board
Send the invites, emails, or make the phone calls, and get everyone excited! You’re starting a trend that’s going to build friendships. Sure, they’re all starting with helping you build your VersaTube, but you’ll have plenty of chances to return the favor when your friends need help painting their house, digging a fire pit or garden, or putting together their own building.
Plan the food and activities
Will someone be manning the grill? Are you going to have a meal simmering in the crockpot? Will you order pizza or have a potluck? Choose your favorite meal option and spread the word. If there will be kids present, be sure to plan activities to keep them entertained and out from underfoot.
