Six Must-Have Accessories All the Coolest Workshops Possess

by VersaTube on January 22, 2019

What exactly is a workshop? Well, the word workshop has a different definition for each individual. For some, it may be a small corner in their garage with a workbench and a few tools. While for others it is a single building completely dedicated to their hobby or work. Whether you like to make DIY projects or have a home brewery, your workshop is the one place where you can escape and create. If you are wanting to take your workshop to the next level of cool, here are six must-have accessories that will help you achieve it!

Peg Board

Gone are the days of the boring brown peg board that your grandfather had hanging in his shop. You can completely change the look of your workshop by adding a little bit of paint to your pegboard! Painting your pegboard black can really make your treasured tools the focal point of your workshop! While you're at it, painting the walls a bright, cheery color can make your workspace much more vibrant and inviting.

Proper Lighting

Having good light is essential for getting all of those little details just right - no matter the project! If you already have a good amount of light fixtures, consider updating the bulbs to LED lights. You will be amazed at how much better you can see with such a simple change.

Proper Ventilation

Having proper ventilation is key, especially when dealing with the dust and chemicals generated by so many projects. If your workshop doesn’t have enough windows, installing them on opposite sides of your workshop will help create cross-ventilation. This addition to your workshop will you give you better ventilation - and will improve your light situation, too!

Utility Sink

If you deal with chemicals or even paint, having a sink in your workshop is a good idea! A utility sink is a great addition for washing paint brushes or even pouring yourself a glass of water to drink.

Work Mat

Standing on concrete for long periods of time can really mess with your back. If you have a bad back or knee trouble, bare concrete is not your friend! Buying a work mat will give you the relief you need from spending long hours in your workshop.

Bluetooth Speakers

If you love music and your old boom box is no longer doing the job, it’s time to think about Bluetooth speakers. With Bluetooth speakers, you can wirelessly listen to the latest music, news or your favorite podcast simply by pairing the speakers with your smartphone!
