An outdated garage door can also hurt your home’s market value and create a look of disrepair. Not only will an updated garage door help your home look more attractive, but it will likely come with better safety measures which will keep your home, family and belongings safer.

3. Damage - if there is any visible damage such as bent metal sections, splintered wood, loose or missing panels, crooked panels, rotting wood, broken hinges or unevenness, it’s time to do something about your garage door. Some models, especially new models, allow homeowners to replace sections of the garage door. However, older models usually require for the entire door to be replaced if it’s too damaged. Replacement is immensely important for guarding against would-be intruders and pests.
