Plan ahead
Before you pick the date for the barn raising, you’ll want to nail down your time table and have a general idea of what tasks will be involved and how long they’ll take. When will the foundation be ready to build on? What day will you receive delivery of your new barn? You’ll also want to review the VersaTube care instructions and the universal assembly instructions. Invite your friends
Finalize a day for the barn raising party and send the invites (or text messages!). Get everyone excited! Not only are they helping you build your barn, but you could be starting a trend of helping each other that will grow relationships. Maybe you’ll attend a barn raising at their house someday. Or, you could return the favor by helping your friends dig a fire pit, paint their house, or remodel their kitchen.
Plan the food and activities
Designate someone to man the grill, have pizza delivered, or ask everyone to bring a dish, potluck style. Whatever meal option you choose, it’ll be a hit! Be sure to also plan activities for any kids that will be in attendance to keep them entertained and clear of the building zone.
