Metal Buildings
What are VersaTube Buildings made of?
Crafted to last, VersaTube buildings are made with only the highest quality of materials. Check out what we use to create these kits to withstand wind, rain, snow and the wear-and-tear of life outdoors to meet our 20-year warranty every time (and exceed it a lot!)
Steel Frames
VersaTube frames are made with high-quality American steel, treated with a triple coat of corrosion protection that engrains strength and rust resistance, adding years of life to your building. Premium fortified steel ensures that each kit is made to serve your needs whether it’s storage, shelter, farming, or a treasured workshop. The Mandrel Bend gives your frame a smooth curve in bend transitions, and we don’t crush bend our steel.
Steel Siding
We craft our siding for carports, sheds, barns and other buildings with 29 gauge American sheet metal, providing the best protection for your building’s needs. We also use a standard five-rib design that adds durability and allows for the easy installation of doors and windows, if you so choose.
Alternative Siding
Don’t like the steel look? VersaTube specializes in strong, durable frames, but many places offer a variety of siding options that can be used to complete your building using a VersaTube frame. You can still use our sturdy building frames -- taking advantage of our easy assembly, high-quality steel, and Design Your Own online tool -- and finish your building with wood, vinyl, cedar shingles, or any other siding you find at home improvement centers. Our frames provide a sturdy structure that can be turned into any look you like. Vinyl looks great for playhouses and storage sheds. Brick and stucco work is a classy upgrade, as well as wood if you like a more rustic look. You can even get Solexx Vinyl to keep you gardening all year long in your very own greenhouse.
Truss Braces
Some buildings, mainly those more than 12 feet wide, will require one or more truss braces. These braces reinforce the structure of your building and can be made to meet local code requirements for your area, with the help of our in-house team of engineers, who can help you with stamped engineering. Truss braces are particularly good for reinforcing the buildings with a higher snow load, so these are popular in our northernmost sales areas.
All of our materials meet the same high standard we set for our products, but we have a wide range of buildings to choose from. Different sizes of tubing are available to meet the demands of various projects and budgets. Check out our Design your Own tool to customize your kit and contact our engineers today.
