What is a VersaTube Structure?

09/09/2016 · PR003

VersaTube structures are highly customizable, pre-engineered steel buildings. They are used to make a wide-variety of structures, such as shops, garages, carports, homes, agricultural and livestock storage, airplane hangars, and an extensive range of other industrial and commercial uses.

In addition to a traditional sheet metal exterior, VersaTube framing kits can be made to have an exterior that is wood, brick, adobe, or even greenhouse vinyl.  This opens up a whole new realm of ways to customize your VersaTube structure, make it blend in or stand out with other structures, and give it a one-of-a-kind appearance.

Advanced technology makes it possible for VersaTube engineering teams to create highly customized building packages that are easy-to-construct yet durable enough to stand the test of time and the elements. These buildings can be specially engineered to withstand high levels of snow or wind.  They are sturdy enough to safely offer clearspans of hundreds of feet on end.

Another factor that has made steel buildings a popular choice among builders involves the greatly reduced cost and build time investments compared to wooden buildings. The fact that materials are pre-engineered in the plant to fit a customized design means there is little to no waste.  This leads to cost reductions a high as 60%.

Truss and slip-fit joints provide another benefit. Not only are they simple to assemble, they also make it possible to extend or alter the structure as needed. Simply remove the exterior covering and slip on as much length as necessary. The whole process is easy, and it allows you to adjust the size of your building without posing a risk to its structural integrity.

Thanks to the low cost, strength, customizability, ease of construction, and low maintenance requirements, steel structures remain a popular choice for amateur and professional builders alike.
